I read the President’s speech to school kids today. My verdict – trust me, I already no you don’t care or probably don’t agree – that overall it’s probably what most administrators should be telling students themselves. I don’t think it’s a perfect speech – that’s not possible.

But here are two key passages from the speech that I think are vital:

“And no matter what you want to do with your life, I guarantee that you’ll need an education to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? You want to be a nurse, or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? You’re going to need a good education for every single one of those careers. You can’t drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You’ve got to work for it and train for it and learn for it.”

‘But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life – what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you’ve got going on at homes – that’s no excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude. That’s no excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping out of school. That’s no excuse for not trying.”

To me this is a fine speech to give to kids. There are things I don’t think are necessary – ‘I hope you’ll wash your hands a lot’ – but to me, there are no major issues of the speech. That said, I don’t have kids so if I were in that position I might feel differently. AND, I think the bigger question throughout this entire issue is:

Why do government (public) schools have to rely on the President to relay this message -about working hard and getting your homework done – that they should already be responsible for promoting to our children in the first place?

Answer – because our government school system is broken, broken, broken. But that’s another topic for another day. The silver lining is that at least the message is getting out there – put down the Xbox and pick up the calculator.

And for those who are chastising parents who have opposition to the President’s speech and are electing to not have their kids in school that day. Where was your outcry when this statement was made?

“The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students. And the president should be doing more about education than saying, ‘Lights, camera, action’.”

- Richard Gephardt (Democrat), then the House Majority Leader on George H.W. Bush’s speech to school children in 1991

I’m not putting that up there to get down in the hypocrisy hoe-down. But honestly, people need to quit yammering about parents who have elected their free choice in THEIR kids’ attendance to school today. Most of us who went to college skipped school to nurse binge drinking hangovers and didn’t think twice about it. Now all of a sudden a parent is active in their son/daughter’s education and because we don’t agree with their choice it’s okay to label them as bad parents. Who are WE to judge them in the fucking first place! Most of us aren’t even parents ourselves.

Do I agree with them pulling their children out of school? No because I don’t really have a problem with the speech. But I do respect their choice as parents. Most of the parents I know who are taking their kids out of school are using the time to teach their kids about government and other lesson plans they believe are vital to their kids well being and education. How do I know this? Because I participated in this thing called communicating and asked them.

Most of these parents are some of the most active, involved parents I have ever met. Yet, I keep seeing and hearing others treat these people as if they have the parenting skills of Britney Spears speeding down the LA freeway with her infant child sitting on her lap with no seatbelt. Please, give me a break. Even Britney thinks it’s humorous in the photo op she provided for this post (FYI – that’s a tongue-in-cheek remark for those who didn’t get it).

SIT DOWN with your cries of chastising these people as intolerant and take the time to inquire about why they are choosing this path, what they plan to do with their children while they are out of school, etc. Today on the radio I even heard The Drex Show state that the actions of these parents might be racially-biased. Parents take kids out of school for much more vapid reasons, yet we’re choosing this to get on parents about??? Come on. (Rolling MAH eyes.)

The President was fulfilling his duties of the office by giving this speech to kids on the first day of school. I wish every President – both Republican and Democrat – would do this more often because kids need all the guidance they can get especially those who don’t have involved parents.

In a world where the likes of Paris Hilton (shudders) is for SOME reason idolized, I think the office of the President (regardless of his policies that I don’t agree with) is still a good role model for children. As long as teachers are not using it as a stepping stone to preach their own politics in the classroom, I don’t really have a problem with it. But I wish that people would be respectful of those who choose and don’t choose to participate in these events. The only thing the negativity brings is fuel to our overbloated egos, making judgments where really we have no business spouting off our mouths.

Oh be still, my beating heart!

Michelle Malkin was on The View today and she definitely brought some game to the table, which wasn’t hard considering she was at a table with four airheads. I love to see anyone shut these liberal mouthpieces up. The fact is the only reason they are liberal is because they are UNEDUCATED on issues and base their reasoning in emotions rather than clear-cut evidence and logic.

These “ladies” are always so rude to their conservative guests (can anyone honestly forget how rude they were to Cindy & John McCain), that it’s nice to see them put in there place which isn’t hard once you start using those rare yet powerful things call – F.A.C.T.S. Just ask John Zeigler.

(And yes, one View lady admits she only voted for the first time in November, but yet feels educated enough to dole out ZERO criticism on Obama while bashing Bush over and over again. Uh, if you didn’t vote in 2000 or 2004, then shut YO MOUTH on any issues you have a problem with from the Bush Administration. I know that’s not a pretty statement, but guess what – it’s how a lot of people feel. You don’t have the time to educated yourself on issues or presidential candidates enough to get your butt off the couch and vote, then I don’t want to hear your evaluation on how the previous administration did. You opinion is what I like to call – irrelevant!)

Here the video that will make your heart go pitter patter with joy for a Behar Smackdown (via HotAir).

Click here to view the embedded video.

Here is Michelle’s take on her experience and that sly coward comment Whoopi made AFTER Michelle was off the stage. Typical – throwing out false accusation when the person is no longer available to set the record straight.

Second best part: Whoopi Goldberg, who didn’t read the book, asserting that I called the administration the most corrupt ever in the book when I was on the set — and then waiting for me to leave to falsely assert that “that young lady” said it on the Today Show.

No, I didn’t. Here’s the video.

As I said on the show, my argument is that the Obama administration needs to be held to its own standards and rhetoric — and by that standard, it is one of the most corrupt in recent history — a point I made on the Hannity show last Monday when I launched.

You know you’ve won the argument when the ladies of the View are reduced to arguing how corrupt Team Obama is, and not whether.

Remember when this Hope n’ Change administration was supposed to be the new era of transparency….Er, not so fast jack! This is on a bunch of blogs today, but I’ll source it at the AP and also HotAir.com…

The White House is being forced to acknowledge the wide gap between its once-upbeat predictions about the economy and today’s bleak landscape. The administration’s annual midsummer budget update is sure to show higher deficits and unemployment and slower growth than projected in President Barack Obama’s budget in February and update in May, and that could complicate his efforts to get his signature health care and global-warming proposals through Congress.

The release of the update — usually scheduled for mid-July — has been put off until the middle of next month, giving rise to speculation the White House is delaying the bad news at least until Congress leaves town on its August 7 summer recess.

What happened to the most inclusive, transparent government evah!!! Oh, looks like somebody wants to get his sham of a universal healthcare deficit bill passed before showing the American public (aka the shareholders of the federal government) how badly their investment of tax dollars aren’t being managed properly.

Consider this: if those budget numbers looked good, would the White House postpone revealing them? Obama could use all the good news he can get at the moment, especially with two big-spending bills stalling in Congress. If the deficit looked better than their May predictions, or even if it looked the same, those numbers would have already hit the front pages of newspapers across America and every network news broadcast, with the message that the worst has passed.

Good grief, it is honestly pathetic how people are still defending this guy as doing a job well done. The administration is outright LYING and cooking the books on the budget, yet people say the Dems have spending under control. WTF!

So now apparently it’s come to this. Need more federal money to bail out your hanging political deals like OBAMACORN? Need to ship more money to foreclosed home owners who shouldn’t have been granted out-of-their-range loans in the first place? Or just want to git those THUGRIZZLE spins for the new caddy? Well, since the US is basically out of money and living on the prayer China doesn’t come calling to collect, it can now all be yours at the bargain basement price of…

Your Eternal SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUL.

Riga-based firm, named Kontora, does not require credit history record or proof of employment. It grants loans of 50 to 500 Latvian lats ($100 to $1,000) to any adult after he or she signs the a very short agreement.

According to the agreement, the only security required of the borrower is their immortal soul, which they are asked to confirm as their previously unmortgaged property.

Even though this story is probably a joke, it’s not that far off when you really think about how we are mortgaging the future earnings of our children – most of who are not even born yet. The crying babies after the doctor spanks them in the delivery room will now be for the $167k they innately owe to Uncle Sam.

Just a quick rebuttal to any liberal who questions the criticism of the porkulus – can you tell me ONE person who has established wealth and not debt by charging everything on a credit card or just borrowing money???? Just one – please JUST ONE!

On a side note, here’s a video from Conservatives4Palin. Yeah, it SURE was great of our country to miss that “heartbeat away from the presidency” pick in Palin. (Eyes Rooooooollin’)

There is no way they’re letting the guy they dragged across the finish line with infamous race-baiting tactics be brought down without stubbornness. It was only a matter of time – because when the public catches onto the slobbering love affair, like any typical celebritymania case it’s then the cue of the media to start turning to show cracks in the foundation. Thus setting up for a proper tumbling off the wall like Humpty Dumpty.

It still amazes me anytime one of my liberal friends start harping around about the media or people being too critical on Obama. Umm, this is the same group that qualified President Bush as not being up to the job based on his choice (and yet accurate in some academic circles) of annunciation on certain words. So pardon me if while those liberals are whining about the spotlight on their boy’s faults I play the world’s smallest violin with my two fingers. Boo-hoo.

Oh, and icing on the cake – 44% vs. 43% now in favor of holding off on Obamacare instead of letting the government take control.

Who do you call up to handle this mess?

Mitt Romney since he’s done it before and it would be an effort to show you actually meant being a bi-partisan president? Bzzzzzzzzzz. Nope

Jack Welch since he’s got that thing called immaculate business acumen and is familiar with guiding huge multinational corporations (MNCs) through tough financial situations? Bzzzzzzzzzz. Nope.

How about any of the top bankruptcy lawyers in the country? Bzzzzzzzzz. Wrong again.

Well, hold on to your hats. Because Obama thinks the leadership that GM needs to get through its massive bankruptcy problems is the equivalent of Michael J. Fox’s character on Secret To My Success.

Drum roooooooll, please….Introducing: Brian Deese. 31- (YES! thirty-@#$@#$-one) Year-Old Yale Law School dropout who’s only experience is (Wait. For. IT) – liberal political campaign work. Ch-ch-ch-CHANGE!!! (via HotAir)

HUH? – my thoughts exactly.

Here’s the 411 of Mr. Deese’s “experience.”

Left Yale Law School to work on Hillary Clinton’s campaign

Has a Bachelor’s in economics political science from Middlebury College

“He has appeared in videos posted on change.gov by the transition team”

Policy analyst at liberal think tanks like Center for American Progress

Never run a business

Doesn’t have a law degree

Has gone on public record as being scared of his work capabilities already in his appointment in the auto task force.

Gee with a resume like that his future’s so bright, he’s got to wear shades. At least someone’s future will be bright while the rest of us hard working citizens in middle America will pay for it the rest of our lives. Reservation for black cloud circling heads – party of at least 100 million, please.

Ed Morrissey sums it up nicely:

Well, yes, and not just for Mr. Deese, whose executive experience actually is less than Obama’s. He’s never run any business, let alone worked in the auto industry. He joined the Hillary Clinton campaign by taking a hiatus from law school, which he began after working as an assistant to Gene Sperling, now an advisor to Tim Geithner. His entire resume consists of campaign work.

Thanks, President Unicorn Princess, for the inspiration of my latest Fun with Photoshop & Politics.

(and yes, that IS Kool-Aid now instead of champagne. Fitting, no? LOL.)

Cue the circus music! (via HotAir)

Here’s Gibb’s lame attempt at trying to excuse his boss’ double standards when it came to his big night on Broadway – $73,000 of taxpayer money to be exact. I mean doesn’t this guy make $400k/year. Can’t he pay for his own stinking dates and vacations??? I make like 1/8 of that and just paid for my own trip to NYC with the husband. Now we have to pay for Obama’s too. Ummm, cheapass!

Click here to view the embedded video.

Not that the president isn’t allowed to have date nights, but I thought we were in the worst recession since the Great Depression. If so, take your ball and chain out to Applebee’s with just the Secret Service. Don’t invite the entire WH press corps and pay for their travel with taxpayer funds when most of the press corps. has affiliates already in NYC that could cover the big night out.

But I guess that would get in the way of the press corp covering his ass:

Obama’s rhetoric brims with inconsistencies. In the campaign, he claimed he would de-emphasize partisanship — and also enact a highly partisan agenda; both couldn’t be true. He got a pass. Now, he claims he will control health-care spending even though he proposes more government spending. He promotes “fiscal responsibility” when projections show huge and continuous budget deficits. Journalists seem to take his pronouncements at face value even when many are two-faced.

I honestly think the MSM thinks the rest of America is too plain dumb to notice the huge AND obvious flaws of this administration. And maybe they’re right. I mean this guy got a pass from the MSM for two years on the campaign trail and people voted his Carter-impresario self into the HBIC chair. Way to go, America! I don’t have enough fingers to count the # of times I’ve heard voter remorse on Obama.

But stunts like this and the Obama administration’s refusal to address them reminds of a post from Sarah, when one of Obama’s colleagues from the Harvard Review told her accurate account of his work ethic:

[W]hen he was at the HLR you did get a very distinct sense that he was the kind of guy who much more interested in being the president of the Review, than he was in doing anything as president of the Review.

A lot of the time he quote/unquote “worked from home”, which was sort of a shorthand – and people would say it sort of wryly – shorthand for not really doing much. He just wasn’t around. Most of the day to day work was carried out by the managing editor of the Review, my predecessor, a great guy called Tom Pirelli whose actually going to be one of the assistant attorney generals now.

He’s the one who did most of the day to day work. Barack Obama was nowhere to be seen. Occasionally he would drop in he would talk to people, and then he’d leave again as though his very arrival had been a benediction in and of itself, but not very much got done.

I mean why do your job ethically as promised now that you’re in the position. Doing it any other way would sidetrack from his previous behavior patterns in his work.

Ever heard of this site, The Best Page In The Universe.

Well, you’re welcome – cause now you’ve heard of literally one of the funniest sites around. Here’s one of my personal favorite rants from 2005 about Cameron Diaz’s failed pro-eco traveling show Trippin’. Maddox’s (the author) rant on celebrity elitism and far left stances on global warming are spot on. You’ve got to read the entire thing – and if you do and don’t laugh even once I’d dare say you don’t have what they call a sense of humor.

At one point in the show they go to a village made of shit (literally, cow shit) and Diaz calls it “beautiful” and “inspiring.” Yeah, just not beautiful and inspiring enough to give up any of the three mansions you own, right you disingenuous bitch?

Every time she opens her gaping mouth, she spews more self-righteous bullshit all over the place. One of my favorite lines is when she says “it’s kind of gotten out of hand how much of a convenience we think we need.” Diaz, who makes around $20 million per picture and drives a Lexus, was able to say this with a straight face. What the hell is that supposed to mean, “convenience we think we need”? We don’t need it asshole, we want it. I like being able to get hot water, hot food, and hot porn whenever I want. Just as soon as you give up your mansion and live in a shit hut with your multi-millionaire boyfriend, we might give a shit about your criticism of the modern conveniences.

And Maddox does an even better job of calling out that fallacy of “carbon credits” the left likes to moufbarf out anytime somebody calls them properly out on their hypocrisy *cough*Al Gore*cough*Leo “Flying Charter” DiCaprio*cough*cough.

Of course, having a show in which the hosts prattle on and on about conservation and environmental causes, it makes you wonder how they’re able to do it without sounding like giant hypocrites as they fly around on helicopters and jets, all while using enough electricity to power a small city. Simply put: they can’t, but that doesn’t stop them from trying.

The way they try to avoid this nagging ideological contradiction is by stating: “Trippin’ has offset all the pollution created from energy use in making the show, to ensure that it would not contribute to global warming.” They supposedly do this by buying “clean air credits.” Great idea assholes, so instead of owning up to your shitty ideals and not polluting, you pay someone else not to pollute. Maybe we should all try to pay someone off every time we want to do something that might inconvenience us. I was going to go on a diet, but it’s too hard, so I’m going to pay someone else to diet for me. I was going to do a show about community service, but doing the actual work was too inconvenient, so I’m going to pay someone to do it for me. Eat shit you elitist morons.

It’s so easy for people perched on a mountain of money to lecture those without on the adaptability to learn to live without. Easy to say we should curve our materialistic needs when you make $20 million for 3-6 months work. For most people like me and extravagance is going shopping once every six months and spending $200 at Khol’s or JC Penney. So yeah, I find it a little hard to agree with you on how we as a society need to do more with less. Umm, how about you first since you’re the one suffering so much guilt that you’ve chosen to do nothing but open up yo’ mouffff up about it??? Just sayin’, guuuuuuuuuuuurl.

Green technologies while good for the earth are also very, very expensive due to the fact they are still in the early adopters phase of market use and therefore are not ideal nor good for the pocketbook of a person who lives paycheck to paycheck. I think like most celebrities, Diaz & crew only do things like this because they are more motivated by the idea of themselves as influencers than actually serving the underlying mission of the message. Ultimately, like any good liberal the political position is more about lifting their own profile than actually doing work that benefits the cause. They have millions upon millions of dollars and couple that with the fact MTV was footing the bill – you’re telling me there wasn’t a way to better educate people on the environment than going to a random jungle via the MTV VIP helicopter? If you really believe that then you truly deserve to have the govt. come in and plunder your ass into poverty while others idly stand by benefiting from the redistribution.

The thing is, I actually like Cameron Diaz – as an actress. I like her movies, think she can be very pretty. But stick to acting, Cam, and step away from the political soapbox before you embarrass yourself more with you’re oblivious hypocrisy.

Good grief – is this the new mantra of the Obama Administration. Umm, not too surprised since this was a classic and ubiquitous debate point among my liberal friends during the campaign. As Michelle Malkin would always note (and I’m paraphrasing)

If that’s what he meant to say, why didn’t he just say that????

Exactly. Anyways, this is from a few days ago but it’s my boy Jake Tapper running circles again around the Worst Press Secretary in. the. Woooooooooorld! (via HotAir) Side note – when are they going to start appropriate playing circus music anytime Gibbs talks??? Just sayin’

Click here to view the embedded video.

“That’s not even remotely close to what he said.”

Ah, Tapper – Swooooooooooooooooon!

I hope I’m not ruining his knock ‘em-sock ‘em-truth-hunting-manliness with the pic to the left, but a girl just can’t help herself. (giggles!)

What I laugh at the most is Gibb’s failed attempt at throwing people’s fear as something that was just people just blowing things out of proportion for no reason, except that the WH gave them a reason to by Vice President Joey Biden McSmartpants. Oh, you darn concerned citizens. Aww, shucks. Pahleeeeeeeeeeeeaze, Gibbster. How can you honestly sit there and act like the WH had NOTHING to do with people’s reactions??? Well I guess you could just think of how people blew their reasoning for voting of the Kool-Aid Candidate out of proportion on Nov. 4 and you’ll probably understand what Gibbs is trying to get at.

Oh, wait…what’s that I hear – a plethora of Obamabots saying “Er…What I meant to vote for was….”

I know a lot of Obamabots are on this hoppy-do-dah bandwagon celebrating Obama’s first 100 days. One I know even had the audacity (shudder!) to talk as if Obama is going to be in office 8 years. Uh, 2012 has to come first, my dear!

What they are celebrating, I actually have no freakin’ clue. Here’s just a sample of 100 mistakes in 100 days. (via New York Post).

1. “Obama criticized pork barrel spending in the form of ‘earmarks,’ urging changes in the way that Congress adopts the spending proposals. Then he signed a spending bill that contains nearly 9,000 of them, some that members of his own staff shoved in last year when they were still members of Congress.

4. Asks his Cabinet to cut costs in their departments by $100 million — a whopping .0027%!

15. For months, the Obama administration and members of Congress have known that insurance giant AIG was getting ready to pay huge bonuses while living off government bailouts. It wasn’t until the money was flowing and news was trickling out to the public that official Washington rose up in anger and vowed to yank the money back.

17. MEGHAN CLYNE ON: “I WON” AND THE DEATH OF BIPARTISANSHIP

“Obama soared to victory on the hopeful promise of a new era of bipartisanship. During his inaugural address he even promised an ‘end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.’

“Too bad it took all of three days for the promise to ring hollow.

“Start with Obama’s big meeting with top congressional leaders on his signature legislation — the stimulus — on the Friday after his inauguration. Listening to Republican concerns about overspending was a nice gesture — until he shut down any hopes of real dialogue by crassly telling Republican leaders: ‘I won.’ Even the White House’s leaking of the comment was a slap at the Republican leadership, who’d expected Obama to adhere to the custom of keeping private meetings with congressional leadership, well, private.”

But instead of lamenting on the bad which would lead me to depressing myself into a nice cold bottle of Boooone’s (Um, Strawberry Hill – OF COURSE!), I decided to have some fun with my dear friend Photoshop.

Ummm…. cue every-movie-trailer-uses-Rhiana’s-Disturbia-backtrack…Dum, Dum, Di-da-dum, dum….
