Somehow their idea of accepting responsibility basically just boils down to them accusing others and/or pointing out their faults in the situation. “I know I’m wrong but ultimately this happened because of you…yada, yada…”, yeah, and I was totally born yesterday. Pahleaze, that’s not taking responsibility. That’s just being a blow-hard who’s trying to use scapegoating as a diversion technique to shield themselves from actually having to take any responsibility whatsoever.

It seems that President Unicorn Princess can’t face the fact that he is messing up all over the place, big time. And instead of facing the music like a BIG BOOOOOOOOOY! he continues to just blame others all while sugar coating it as him “taking responsibility”:

Economy – Bush’s fault (despite Obama’s scare tactics of the worst economy ever making the market plunge even further during the campaign, oh, and passing a non-stimulus porkulus bill, and proposing a deficit-neutral-but-really-a-deficit-expanding budget, and implementing Karl Marx-steps to take over private enterprises, OH and appointing tax cheats to lead the Treasury)

Healthcare – Capitalism’s fault (despite Obama’s lying about the bankruptcy and ineffectiveness of Medicare, using faulty statistics of the “47 million uninsured,” ignoring that the mass public is 86% happy with their healthcare AS IS, and striking money deals using blackmail to buy sham endorsements of Obamacare)

Terrorism – Amercia’s-before he became the HBIC – fault (I’m sooooooooowwwry, so sooooooooowry, Europe! Look assmunch, you’re the leader of this country, not Europe. So quit groveling. When you’re standing up for citizens more outside the border than inside, time to then take a good look in the mirror)

Accusing Professional Cops of Acting “Stupidly” and Defending Gate’s Race Card Politics – the media’s fault (even though the question was clearly pre-arranged, even though he said the remarks “acted stupidly” and “cooler heads could have prevailed” about the cops – who were the only ones acting mature in the situation – it’s somehow still not his fault but mark.his.words…. he’s taken responsibility)

Oh, but don’t just take it at face value, folks. It may be in the fine print or between the lines. I swear by Robert Gibbs’ ability to control a WH press briefing effectively, Obama sure is setting a fine example of how you take responsibility for your actions. (Pfffffffffffffff!)

You know what I think it is:

Obama being the worst President since Jimmy Carter – 52% of American’s fault

Ever heard of this site, The Best Page In The Universe.

Well, you’re welcome – cause now you’ve heard of literally one of the funniest sites around. Here’s one of my personal favorite rants from 2005 about Cameron Diaz’s failed pro-eco traveling show Trippin’. Maddox’s (the author) rant on celebrity elitism and far left stances on global warming are spot on. You’ve got to read the entire thing – and if you do and don’t laugh even once I’d dare say you don’t have what they call a sense of humor.

At one point in the show they go to a village made of shit (literally, cow shit) and Diaz calls it “beautiful” and “inspiring.” Yeah, just not beautiful and inspiring enough to give up any of the three mansions you own, right you disingenuous bitch?

Every time she opens her gaping mouth, she spews more self-righteous bullshit all over the place. One of my favorite lines is when she says “it’s kind of gotten out of hand how much of a convenience we think we need.” Diaz, who makes around $20 million per picture and drives a Lexus, was able to say this with a straight face. What the hell is that supposed to mean, “convenience we think we need”? We don’t need it asshole, we want it. I like being able to get hot water, hot food, and hot porn whenever I want. Just as soon as you give up your mansion and live in a shit hut with your multi-millionaire boyfriend, we might give a shit about your criticism of the modern conveniences.

And Maddox does an even better job of calling out that fallacy of “carbon credits” the left likes to moufbarf out anytime somebody calls them properly out on their hypocrisy *cough*Al Gore*cough*Leo “Flying Charter” DiCaprio*cough*cough.

Of course, having a show in which the hosts prattle on and on about conservation and environmental causes, it makes you wonder how they’re able to do it without sounding like giant hypocrites as they fly around on helicopters and jets, all while using enough electricity to power a small city. Simply put: they can’t, but that doesn’t stop them from trying.

The way they try to avoid this nagging ideological contradiction is by stating: “Trippin’ has offset all the pollution created from energy use in making the show, to ensure that it would not contribute to global warming.” They supposedly do this by buying “clean air credits.” Great idea assholes, so instead of owning up to your shitty ideals and not polluting, you pay someone else not to pollute. Maybe we should all try to pay someone off every time we want to do something that might inconvenience us. I was going to go on a diet, but it’s too hard, so I’m going to pay someone else to diet for me. I was going to do a show about community service, but doing the actual work was too inconvenient, so I’m going to pay someone to do it for me. Eat shit you elitist morons.

It’s so easy for people perched on a mountain of money to lecture those without on the adaptability to learn to live without. Easy to say we should curve our materialistic needs when you make $20 million for 3-6 months work. For most people like me and extravagance is going shopping once every six months and spending $200 at Khol’s or JC Penney. So yeah, I find it a little hard to agree with you on how we as a society need to do more with less. Umm, how about you first since you’re the one suffering so much guilt that you’ve chosen to do nothing but open up yo’ mouffff up about it??? Just sayin’, guuuuuuuuuuuurl.

Green technologies while good for the earth are also very, very expensive due to the fact they are still in the early adopters phase of market use and therefore are not ideal nor good for the pocketbook of a person who lives paycheck to paycheck. I think like most celebrities, Diaz & crew only do things like this because they are more motivated by the idea of themselves as influencers than actually serving the underlying mission of the message. Ultimately, like any good liberal the political position is more about lifting their own profile than actually doing work that benefits the cause. They have millions upon millions of dollars and couple that with the fact MTV was footing the bill – you’re telling me there wasn’t a way to better educate people on the environment than going to a random jungle via the MTV VIP helicopter? If you really believe that then you truly deserve to have the govt. come in and plunder your ass into poverty while others idly stand by benefiting from the redistribution.

The thing is, I actually like Cameron Diaz – as an actress. I like her movies, think she can be very pretty. But stick to acting, Cam, and step away from the political soapbox before you embarrass yourself more with you’re oblivious hypocrisy.

This past weekend on our road trip back to Peoria, IL, my husband and I were discussing Barack Obama’s plans to make the US:

“The GREATEST Exporter of clean energy in the WOOOOOOOORLD!”

Okay, he didn’t really say it “exactly” like that, but you get the idea. President Unicorn Princess talked about this during Earth Day (via The Boston Globe)

Marking Earth Day, President Obama declared today that moving toward renewable energy is essential to America’s prosperity and announced that his administration will for the first time lease federal waters for projects to generate electricity from wind as well as from ocean currents and other renewable sources.

“We can remain the world’s leading importer of oil, or we can become the world’s leading exporter of clean energy.”

Now I’m not saying let’s continue relying on foreign oil because that ship is sailing in the future. But I’m for domestic drilling and then bridging the revenues which would come from that into R&D for technologies of tomorrow – primarily natural gas, renewable nuclear and clean coal. But instead of spending time on these innovative technologies, it’s like we have people in charge now of our nation’s energy plan who don’t know one freakin’ thing about how to build energy plants or how energy is transported from processing > the grid > county > household > the electrical appliance/switch you turn on. And the media doesn’t even call out Obama on his energy plans which are built on fallacies and the placating of facts.

Can somebody tell the guy who was “ready from day one” that a Nobel Laureate in Physics doesn’t automatically equate a brilliant strategist for negotiating domestic/foreign energy policies. Just because the guy is the smartest person in the room who would actually produce the new energy technology, doesn’t mean he’s the best person to develop business tactics to move countries toward adapting new energy policies. Half the time it sounds like this guy doesn’t even know what he’s talking about. Only in America!

Riddle me this Captain Koolaid, how in the world are you going to develop a technology that will transport electricity built on wind and solar across the ocean to other countries.

“Well, yuck, yuck, yuck, Beth, glad. you. asked. See kidos (aka American citizens who don’t know any better) we’re going to have a magical, invisible power grid that will absorb the natural energies of the earffff’s elements and then we’ll store it in a big tree in NeverNeverLand. This will allow us to collect clean energy reserves which we can then sell and cure the world of their reliable fossil fuel energy dependency. Then we’ll all hold hands, drink Coca Cola, and teach each other to sing Kumbayah.”

Oh, it must be just my pessimistic realistic knowledge that you cannot harness the electrical current on that massive of a scale not only with energy made from volatile and unreliable elements like the sun/wind, but even with our current fossil fuels. Or it could be the fact that I know you cannot have solar and wind electricity without a fossil fuel backup that must run constantly even when no actual energy is in use. Power is not something you can just turn on at the local plant when it’s not a sunny enough day outside for your beloved solar panels to work. You have to keep it constantly running and it has to be produced at an extremely higher voltage in a massive quantity in order for it to reach your house off of the grid. As electricity travels from the plant to your house it’s constantly being stripped down the further it travels. Now multiply this by the millions of people on the same grid.

Kind of puts this supposed “ease” of adapting green technologies in perspective, heh????

Wake up, folks! There are financial, logical reasons why solar energy and wind power are not popping up all over the place. One is that they are extremely expensive. For instance, with all the tax breaks today, it would still cost you around $25k to make your house entirely solar powered (via Go Green Live Rich) And even then you’d still have to have a backup feeding off the fossil-fuel backed power grid. Why? Because solar is unreliable – bottom line.

So is wind. But with wind as well, it’s not only super expensive to build but requires massive amounts of land to produce. A lot of times the land required doesn’t meet the satisfaction of limo liberals like everyone’s favorite hypocrite Teddy “Gets Away With Murder to Salvage a Political Career” Kennedy. Drumrooooooooooll please…(via The Boston Globe)

But like a lot of well-to-do Cape and Islands landowners and sailing enthusiasts, Kennedy doesn’t want to share his Atlantic playground with an energy facility, no matter how clean, green, and nearly unseen. Last month he secretly arranged for a poison-pill amendment, never debated in either house of Congress, to be slipped into an unrelated Coast Guard bill. It would give the governor of Massachusetts, who just happens to be a wind farm opponent, unilateral authority to veto the Cape Wind project.

Gee, thanks Uncle Ted! Now everytime I hear one of you Dems up there spouting overblown lectures about how all us common folk in Middle America need to get on board with the clean energy policies we can’t afford, I’ll be sure to remember how you reacted when the world’s life saving energy policy was refused near your million-dollar Mcmansion.

And then there’s the other concept that since we won’t be able to physically export the “clean” energy, our administration really means for us to be in the business of exporting the technology. Again – WTF? Now we’re in the business of telling countries how to run their own policies. Yeah, cause even though Obama’s magical persuasive skills fell FLAT at the G-20 summit, they’ll somehow work now with countries like India and China.

Cue the hypocrisy question again to liberals – We can’t tell dictators “hey, stop development on enriching uranium programs or we’ll hold off diplomatic talks” OR “stop oppressing your people or we’re going to do something about it” OR “don’t harbor terrorists that attack the US’ …..BUT we can tell them how to run their own energy policies. Pffffffffff. O-ooookay.

This cracks me up. President Bush is lambasted by liberals when he refused to sign onto the Kyoto Treaty simply because it left China and India unaccountable. This is because Bush is a realist in that he understood you have to find a way to get these massive polluting countries on board on their own, and also not having these two major economic players on board would have a domino impact on the other economies participating in the treaty. But President Obama just talks as if countries will fall in line simply because we produce these new “green” technologies and liberals praise him for it. Good grief. What’s the next step? Develop a Green Police to go in on behalf of the UN and make other countries do what we want them to do. Yeah, cause that worked so well on the national security front with North Korea and Iraq.

Watch, no joke – it’s going to happen. The UN or some failed partnership between US and France will develop the Reno 911 of Eco-Police. Lt. Dangle at your service.

Bad Boys, Bad Boys, watch gonna do when they come fooooooooooooooo’ you!

Again, as much as I would like to see our world become pro-environment I’m also a realist when it comes to how energy is produced, stored and distributed on a massive scale. I’m a big nuclear power proponent and am for modeling our renewable nuclear energy after France (except for the socialized part). Because of this knowledge it makes me LMFAO when I hear politicians talk about us creating “clean” energy as if it is something that exists but just our greed with fossil fuels is getting in the way. Riiiight (rolling eyes).

It would be more beneficial to the public to take a class on how power plants are built than to give everyone a “Celebrate Earth Day” bag. Sad reality is that most people would rather take the bag to mindlessly consume more stuff than take 5 minutes to liberate their mind on the realities of energy policies.

Now 58% of the country believes you’ve damaged our national security by opening up a huge can of worms all because you couldn’t stand up to your base and give them the old STFU stance to their non-evidence-based smears on the CIA’s minimal use of heightened interrogation tactics. (via HotAir)

If Barack Obama hoped to convince America that Dick Cheney was wrong about Obama making America less safe by releasing the interrogation memos, the latest Rasmussen poll shows he badly miscalculated. Despite his own high personal approval ratings and Cheney’s low scores, 58% of respondents believe that Obama endangered national security. Only 28%, far below the numbers of his own party, believe it helped America enhance its image abroad

Uhhhh, torture, torture, torture. Dude, all this talk about America “torturing” murdering-innocents-evil terrorists is torture to MAH #%@#$@ ears. Anywhinycitizen, here’s my beef – since when did the US start behaving like Paris Hilton during her stint in the big house when it comes to whether or not the CIA’s interrogation tactics constitute torture???

Whaaaaaa…Whaaaaaaaaaaaa, I can’t take it. The interrogators talked in a loud voice, cranked up music, fed the terrorists TASTELESS-but-nutrient-packed food! GAAAAAAAAAAA! The horror. I mean this is America…Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

There, there NYT editorial staff – it’ll be okay. Shhhhhh.

I’ve seen a lot of people in liberalland – aka Facebook – feverishly update their status and posting about locking up the Bush Administration and throwing away the key. (In my best rabies, slobbering fanatic voice “Bush is the Deeeeeeeeeeeeeevil!”) Even though according to the CIA memos the interrogation techniques were like playing patty cake when compared to what other countries do to their POWs *cough*Hanoi Hilton *cough*.

The thing that’s really interesting is about half the people I know who are anti-American “torture” are also the same moral policemen who idly stood by as weaker kids were given swirlies in the boys’ locker room during cross-country practice in high school. So funny to me they’ve suddenly grown a conscience and are adamantly against “torture” they have never seen with their own eyes. But when somebody was enduring an emotionally-damaging water dunking less than 3 feet in front of them they not only did nothing but cheered on in their desperate attempt to experience the false utopia of acceptance. Oh, but silly me – that’s just the Pelosi defense.

Truth be told I’m no expert but have this little trick I can do called reading. Ummm, I already know what you’re thinking – J-E-A-L-O-U-S.

But honestly, it’s like even now when the CIA memos have been released and people can read for themselves how non-torturous these interrogations were, OH! and that they worked – how can you claim that America and the Bush Administration were in violation of human rights when they saved human lives? If that’s your stance, regardless of the evidence that speaks to the contrary, then I’d guess you’re not for the general concept of prisons either. Poor, poor terrorists – they did nothing wrong and we’re just misunderstanding their freedom to express their sinister desires even though they trample on the right to life of their fellow man in the process. Yeah, poor terrorist. Pffffffffff.

To me the Army Manual field techniques vs. the CIA Interrogation techniques are like detectives out in the field interrogating witnesses vs. police interrogating the kidnapping/murder suspect who’s taunting police and not giving up the vital information that could save a life. Does that make me someone who cheers on those who abuse others? No.

But if you’re a murdering asshole, then, yes, I believe getting dunked by water, stripped of your clothes, or just fed the equivalent of nutritionally-balanced oatmeal for all your 3-squares each day does not constitute my definition of what torture is. Guys down at the Cook County Prison suffer more on a daily basis. I realize they’re not getting the Camp Cupcake treatment, but they’re also not getting the Daniel Craig torturing in Casino Royale (despite what the NYT would have you believe). Medical and psychological professionals were present and according to the memos certified that the techniques did not induce permanent physical or mental damage. If after all of that you’re still on the smear bandwagon calling people like me, who support the CIA’s interrogation, cruel, well then I’ll just have to call you namby bambi weakling – caphice! Seriously, I don’t think people on the two sides of the coin are either (cruel, weak) but my patience has worn thin of putting up with moonbats crying wolf.

For a group that is comprised of people who go days without bathing, eat food without flavor in the desperate attempt to keep up with their tofu-only fad diets, listen to loud irritating music multiple days in a row, have a tendency to strip down naked, and are notorious for their “peaceful” antics of yelling like people released from the crazy bin, well, some of these liberals need to take a look in the mirror.

ORANGE ALERT! – these people are in violation of torturing themselves. Somebody lock ‘em up and throw away the key!

On Sunday, I’m going to watch National Geographic’s Inside Gitmo special. I’ve had in the DVR for a while, but I’ll take some time Sunday to blog about it. From what I gather its a look at to how well the prisoners were treated and how the system can work to both acquit valid suspects but yet restrain the world’s most dangerous. How much you want to bet though that all these people who are screaming smears about torture have never sat down once to actually learn the processes that go on at Gitmo? Ante up, liberals. AN. TE. UP.

Remember THAT tidbit from Grand Master Kool-Aid’s swearing-in on Jan. 20th. Yeah the tidbit he copied from Bush, when he said it wasn’t too cool for school. Probably because Bush couldn’t fake a good preacher voice.

Fast forward only a few months later, out goes the centrist “campaign rhetoric” and up go the arms to welcoming communist dictators along with some classic teacher’s pet syndrome. But remember, Obama isn’t a socialist. Pfffffff, yeah right. (via Ace)

“The United States seeks a new beginning with Cuba,” Obama countered in his own speech. “I know there is a longer journey that must be traveled in overcoming decades of mistrust, but there are critical steps we can take toward a new day.” Earlier this week, Obama lifted restrictions on travel to the island by Cuban Americans.

Jimmy Carter, saaaaaaaaaaay what!

Good grief. I’m so tired of the “America is the bad guy, pahwwwweeeeeeeease forgive us” foreign policy. It’s like we’re Kevin Bacon’s character from Animal House getting spanked. ”Yes, sir, may I have another!”

Has nobody has learned anything from history??? Remember the last time a US President started calling uncle to dictators (and giving away billions of taxpayer $$ in the process). That’s right, Obama’s true mentor – Jimmy Carter. Carter also opened arms of understanding and pledged money to dictators in the name of “bridging a new future for peace and human rights.” But after all the grand sit-down talks were finished the only thing that was a success were oppressive regimes extending their range of power and corruption. The way things are going, next thing you know Sean Penn will be dictating foreign policy. Er, too late…

Tigers, and lions, and bears – OH MY!

All ruby red shoes aside, I really am concerned about the latest. (via Michelle Malkin). The Department of Homeland Security and terrorist-defender Janet Napolitano have issued a new assessment manual on those scarrrry and meanie ”right wingers.” Don’t laugh (hey, I said don’t laugh) – this is an actual report paid for by taxpayer money. Say it with me – aaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome!

Despite no evidence of violence from right wingers the nation now needs to have its front organization of defense devoted to keeping the conservative movement from sobering up people out of their Kool-Aid stupors. Instead of our taxpayer funds being used to keep us safe from actual terrorists, the “new & improved” Department of Homeland Security thinks it’s better to serve as Big Brother focusing on those US citizens that don’t agree with them on the political front – aka conservatives, aka sane people, aka non liberal wackos that don’t have anything better to do because they’re out working for a living so they can actually pay the salaries of the DHS!

Free speech is in the air – can you feel it??? Heh.

I love how the report is only devoted to right wing groups. Cause G-20 protestors, MoveOn.org, ACORN and Code Pink are all saints and have never, eva, eva, EVAH! vandalized during their peaceful protests. Clearly the capital pigs are masters of the universe and photoshop at a fever pace to present the myth of lunacy on the left. I mean setting cops on fire and destroying private and public property isn’t “crazy” per se, just being more direct in getting a point across. Come on, people! I mean if the far-left managed DHS can see this, surely we all can. (eyes roooooooooolling!)

Ed Morrissey at HotAir puts forward the best question to any supporters of this:

Imagine, if you will, what the Left would say if we took this entire document and replaced all references to “military veterans” with “Muslims”, and all references to “abortion” with “universal health care”, and then predated this DHS report to 2008, during the Bush administration. They’d be screaming about being smeared as traitors for their political beliefs, and they’d be right to do so. That’s exactly what the Obama administration and Janet Napolitano has done here.

I’ve gone to the Tea Party rallies – people are in suits, on their lunch breaks, peaceful, and fully bathed. In fact, organizers worked WITH law enforcement prior, during and after our “scary” protest. There is no imminent danger from people who lean to the right on political issues.

The only thing this DHS report does is waste taxpayer money, allow the DNC to use federal tax dollars to further their party’s agenda (which is both imperialistic and AGAINST THE LAW), and disgrace our military’s brave veterans – again with ZERO evidence cited in the report.

No I’m not talking about a delicious piece of Doublemint, fools!

I’m talking about our lovely Driving-the-US-into-Socialism-at-100-MPH Stimulus bill that kicked off the fun on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, also known as the Obama Presidency.

So in case you never read the fine print, or the bill for that matter, (MRS. Arlen Specter I’m talking to you!) here’s the real deal on all those “shovel-ready projects.” You know, the ones that we were told would turn this economy around because it would create 2, er, 3, errrr, “4 million jobs.” I put that in quotes because it’s what you would call a bunch of baloney, to put it nicely.

So anymybaloneyhasafirstnameit’sO-B-A-M-A, our President’s main point for defending the porkulus was that creating infrastructure projects would essentially lend itself to more job creation and with a flick of his FAAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS wand, *POOF!* the economy is awwww better.

Um, hold up! Wait a minute! Don’t go there, cause I ain’t with it!

Now let’s travel back to a place I love to call “reality” where we actually look into what the definition of “shovel-ready” means. Turns out that with most of these projects, local funding is required PRIOR to even being able to apply to receive stimulus funds. That’s right folks – local funding is required! Hey, Barry Barney – How do we get local funding??? Why, kids through local taxes, of course! Yuck-Yuck-Yuck!!! Oooooh laughter all around.

Take for instance this document from the Texas Department of Transportation.

Effects on Texas Transportation

The portion of funding for Texas transportation includes:

The estimated creation of more than 23,000 direct jobs and 69,000 total jobs.

Approximately $2.6 billion dedicated to transportation projects around the state.

Funding for highway, bridge, transit, aviation and rail projects.

This is a reimbursement program. Texas will not receive the dollars up front. (emphasis mine)

This is the sad fact that nobody in government or the media wants to talk about but is something that affects every single person in every area that is accepting stimulus funds. In order for most shovel-ready projects to get the stimulus money, they must have local taxes in place that will or are already bringing in funds for the “stimulus-funded” project.

This is happening all over in my home state. I’m not pulling this out of left field as a way to get the Democrats. People who are trying to apply for stimulus money know darn well and I’ve even seen correspondence with my own eyes where, in fact, it shows that Congress will determine if “the project worthy, will they deem it necessary, can we show just cause, etc. but the bottom line is that if we do not have local funding, we CANNOT apply for the funding that MAY BE available.”

Kind of ridiculous. So we’ll get double the tax, double the fun. I don’t know about you but I can’t WAIT to get my local taxes increased as well as my federal taxes (shudders!). PLUS, this ultimately goes against Obama’s pledge of no new taxes on 95% of Americans. Taxes at the local level aren’t categorized between income levels, so you’re more likely to see increases disguised as property and sale taxes – even for those under the $250k mark. That’s two times a broken promise now – goes to show you if it sounds too good to be true, a liberal must be saying it!

I guess this will make us all SUPA-DUPA Patriots in Joe Biden’s eyes….Sweet! My life is like FINALLY complete.

The other part is that one must consider is the liberal myth that shovel-ready projects accepting stimulus money will mean that the stimulus has created more jobs. If the project was shovel ready that means the majority of employment has already been decided and thus no new jobs are actually created. But that doesn’t surprise me, because it’s like most things with government – they’ll only present the myth of job creation without showing people that the jobs already existed without government’s intervention, oh I mean stealing of resources from the private sector. To those that have never experienced getting credit stolen from them, that’s what I like to call smoke and mirrors.

SING IT, Fred!!!

Seems that the “Terrorists Are Our Friends” campaign is just trucking along, because the latest announcement is that Gitmo prisoners, let off on tecnhicalities from terrorism charges, will now not only be allowed to live in the US (yes, the very country they conducted violence in name against) BUT us law-abiding U.S. taxpayers will also get to fund the welcome wagon. (via Ace of Spades)

“If we are to release them in the United States, we need some sort of assistance for them to start a new life,” said National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair at his first press conference.

That’s it, I’m gettin’ Trolley and King Friday on the case. I know you’re probably thinking that would just make the policy worst, but they’re some badass mofos – TRUST.

This was my favorite topic to debate during the election – the idea documented fact that Obama does not believe in funding the troops and has a patronizing support for the military. I was told time and time again that wasn’t the case.

Yes, despite the documented evidence that he had voted numerous times against funding of troops, refused to talk with generals fighting in the current wars (FYI – Wesley “I only served as a general in NATO peace-keeping operations” Clark doesn’t cut it as ‘talking to current generals on the ground’), or even taking time to listen to their advice, and had been an outspoken arrogant advocate against anything military-related. Despite all of that, I was wrong when I declared that Obama’s outright opposition to taking care of our military would be his position as President.

Newsflash, liberals – the fact that Mrs. Obama wore a t-shirt that says she supports the troops doesn’t make her husband’s track record of not supporting the troops disappear. I’m sorry an NYT Op-ed outlining your strategy in Iraq while refusing to meet with the troops and generals on the ground TRUMPS a blue t-shirt worn once on the campaign trail at a Rock the Vote rally.

So, wouldn’t you know it. Now that the Kool-aid man is in office, guess what the policy on the military is. You guessed it – anti-military. Turns out, the White House’s position to “save money” was to make wounded veterans pay for their own medical costs through their OWN private insurance. Can anybody say… Booooooooyah!

The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.

Riddle me this, President Unicorn Princess – how does making wounded veterans pay for their own medical care to treat wounds that were caused by the US government sending them to war constitute as your administration supporting the troops?

I mean even Democrat whip-boy and youth-golden-calf-idol, Jon Stewart is asking WTF??? (via HotAir)

I also found this excellent rebuttal via Trying to Grok. Yesterday, the White House backed off the unaccepted proposal.

The White House on Wednesday backed off a controversial plan that would have dramatically altered the way the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) handles insurance claims, after veterans groups staged an all-out fight against such a proposal.

I guess kudos may be in order for some, but, sorry, none from me. I’m sure we’ll hear it spun out of control for the 2012 elections. But the fact is that it shouldn’t have been a proposal in the first place! It’s like when people say they’re sorry and retreat ONLY after they get called out. Umm, we’re onto yo’ game, Barney – you’re only sorry you got caught, not that you think you did anything wrong.

But that’s what makes this the “greatest administration EVAAAA!”

Welcome to our new energy policy in the U.S. Every man, woman and child will now be responsible for their own (and probably THEIR neighbors’) energy source and therefore must construct their own wind turbine outside their house. Then we must all read by candlelight, burn wood for heat and use outhouses. Is this 1809? Nope – 2009, baby! (via Ace)

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, are you getting the sense I’m doubting the policies of this administration??? Heh.

Here’s the latest in the Carter 2.0 administration. Obama has officially pulled the plug on Yucca Mountain and indirectly said “no more” to nuclear power – yes, the cleanest and most reliable energy resource, he takes a pass on it and goes a step further to crazytown by putting restrictions on our current usage of it. Keep in mind that the radioactive material that would have been deposited here would have resulted in ”99.93 percent of the radioactivity originally placed in the repository would have decayed.” Oh, and the “small” fact that it would store there for (in my lame Dr. Evil impression) ONE MIIIIIILLION DOLLARS YEARS. As my dad would say to describe someone as being incompetent -

WHAT. A. NERD!

Oh, but what about reprocessing the spent nuclear rods? Oh, you mean doing the stuff that France does to recycle its nuclear energy??? Yeah, umm his mentor Jimmy “Tweedle Dumb” Carter made it illegal 30 years ago to reprocess. And who says that government never gets in the way of progress???

In shuttering Yucca Mountain, Obama makes it extremely likely that nuclear power in the United States will continue its long, slow, and extremely welcome death. For the next couple of decades, anyway.

It was pretty clear on the campaign that Obama opposed all nuclear plant sources for energy. In fact, I think if he really had his way there would be no clean coal, no natural gas and no nuclear – period. It would be all solar and wind.

The problem with those methods as a sole energy source is that electricity has to be constantly running and at a high pace in order to reach its mulitple, final destinations on the grid in an efficient but also constant fashion. Solar and Wind technologies ALWAYS (emphasis on ALWAYS) have to rely on another energy source. Why? Because they are not reliable. It doesn’t matter if you build 5, 10, 200,000 wind farms – you still need a power plant (nuclear/coal) to back it up and provide proper electricity levels to everyone on the grid. Wind energy technologies cannot support this on their own. And we’ve been going at this since the early 1970s, yet somehow it’s the next four years that’s going to solve the issues with wind energy. Oh! And unicorns DO EXIST! Yeeeeeeeeeeah!

So instead of finding a way to support a perfectly clean and recyclable (just ask France) energy technology like nuclear, Obama caters to the far-left environmentalists who he is indebted to and does away with any chance of making nuclear power not only better but as a bridge to an energy plan that is pro-environment.
