Here’s Jason Mattera (via HotAir) celebrating April Fools Day early last week when the moonbats were out in full force on Capitol Hill.
(Side note: UH, I need to move to Washington and start participating in some of this. It’s hilarious!)

Huh???? The “socialist” argues that they’re in a transitional state but then seems to forget that “socialist,” errr communist, governments are not ruling bodies of the people. These are institutions that give the authoritative, imperialistic powers to only one body, and then typically to one person. Hugo Chavez, anyone? And I love how the one guy has never been to Venezuela but is “educated” enough to know that their standard of living has increased. Er, perhaps he should read this.
This is what I don’t get about far-left socialists/communists (because I’m sorry they’re one in the same, just one is the more loud-mouthed cousin) – they are anti a government that promotes capitalism and free market but are FOR a government that strips freedoms away from people with the notion that people will be united. United in what – poverty??? Dare I ask, do they even know what they’re fighting for or talking about for that matter?
Good times – no wonder these moonbats are pro-drug legalization; it’s the only thing that gives them a sense of intellect.

Great video. You hit the nail on the head that people will be united in poverty…except for the ones in charge of the government of course. It’s not like all of a sudden they will give up their standard of living to live like the “common man”. People like me who grew up in a Communist country (Eastern Europe) know this all too well and have seen what “nationalized” really means. We had a leader just like Chavez who spoke of the people, and how the West is evil, and the govt will provide everything, except there were food shortages, and hot water only every other day, and lots of misery. We will be the first ones in line to fight this unthinking movement.
