Hell hath no fury like a former liberal woman.
Remember that little thing about “95% of Americans are going to get a tax credit” I thought if you were making less than $250k a year you wouldn’t see your taxes go up? Oh too late! And it only took less than 3 mos. (via Breitbart.com via Flap’s Blog)
Man, oh, man the next White House press conference, with the world’s worst Press Secretary, is going to be a gooood one. Heck, I might even just take the day off work and snuggle up on a couch with some popcorn.
One of President Barack Obama’s campaign pledges on taxes went up in puffs of smoke Wednesday. The largest increase in tobacco taxes took effect despite Obama’s promise not to raise taxes of any kind on families earning under $250,000 or individuals under $200,000. This is one tax that disproportionately affects the poor, who are more likely to smoke than the rich.
Well, that’s just the beauty of campaign rhetoric and the parsing of words. I wrote about this back at the beginning of February when the S-CHIP bill passed. Funny how nobody bothers to check out how things are funded in this country. Instead we just look at half the picture, which in Henry Hazlitt’s view is the very definition of being a bad economist.
So this week the expansion of the SCHIP (State Children’s Health Insurance Program) was passed by fear tactics of “health care for the kids” from Pelotox herself. And the kicker of it all is that the funding for this $4 billion expansion comes from a huge tax hike on tobacco products.
Just where do Obama & the Liberal-run Congress get these lame-brain ideas of the ol’ bait-and-switch taxing on the very people who vote for you??? Well, you don’t have to look any further than the only President a liberal will cite due to his skewed favorability from WWII (and the fact that most other Democratic presidents were or near failures *cough* Carter, Clinton *cough*) – Franklin D. Roosevelt.
This is very similar to FDR raising taxes on liquor and tobacco to help fund his failing New Deal. Helping out the poor by passing huge taxes on the products used mainly by the lower and middle economic classes. Can you feeeeeeeeeel the brilliance in Keynesian economics? All it creates is a cycle effect in taxes and govt. spending that produces nothing but confusion to cloud people’s perception of the big picture. It’s the old bait and switch – sell the policy as if you’re about helping the needy and lower economic class and that you’re going to make “the rich” pay their “fair” share in taxes. Oh but then forget to mention when it comes time to craft the actual legislation that the funding is coming by taxing goods & services most used by the lower economic class.
And just to point out the obvious, guess who didn’t vote for this bill and the following increase in tobacco tax among the middle & lower classes – M-C-C-A-I-N! Huhhhh - I thought he’s the one who was supposed to raise our taxes???
The ranting and raving of a woman formally brainwashed under the liberal agenda. Through investigation, commentary and sarcasm about government, this woman is breaking free of the hypocritical liberal party that tries to manipulate women into believing only they can represent women’s rights. Get informed, get free, get Un-Liberaled! This blog does not endorse any particular candidate or party - although if I did, I most likely wouldn’t endorse a liberal candidate. For instance, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) or as I like to call her Smancy Pelotox would not get my vote. Comprende? Good. Hope you enjoy the rants! :)

The tax on McDonald’s and Oreos will be next. Heck with letting people decide for themselves on how they damage their bodies, let’s punish people for consuming the things we don’t like!!!
