Good grief – Private industry creates innovation, cue government interruption with threats of investigation so that they can get their piece. Apparently John “French Poodle” Kerry is looking for his own Mt. Microsoft to go after. Heeeeeeeeeello, Apple! (via Gizmodo)

Presidential race loser and US Senator John Kerry (remember him?) has sent a note to the FCC basically asking why AT&T has an exclusive iPhone contract with Apple. Two years after its introduction? This horse is late to the race:

“We ask that you examine this issue carefully and act expeditiously should you find that exclusivity agreements unfairly restrict consumer choice or adversely impact competition in the commercial wireless marketplace [...] Whether exclusivity agreements are becoming increasingly prevalent between dominant wireless carriers and handset manufacturers.”

Don’t call it a coincidence that it’s always liberals who are trying to hold trials against capitalism and those who use a free market to be innovative in a successful manner. Trust me, if the folks at Apple were more like the ACORN people then they’d probably be getting honored at the White House.

kerry_dumbHey, Kerry! Why don’t you go back to that sad sack of potatoes you call a Senate chair and try saving some of our taxpayer money before you go pushing policy that will destroy even MORE American jobs and purchase power.

Of all my friends that have the iPhone they love it. Yeah, AT&T isn’t the best service but clearly if they couldn’t deal with it they would just give up or NOT BUY the phone. I for one would like an iPhone but I really like Verizon so now I’ve opted to buy a Blackberry Curve. Look at that, the power of choice! Not a win for AT&T/iPhone, but a win of a consumer for Verizon/RIM.  Now was that so haaaaaaaaaaaaard, f*tard? Looks like we didn’t need the government to fix the situation because there was no problem to be fixed.  Get back to doing your job like reading the actual bills you do pass!
