If I had a penny for everytime I heard that phrase over the last five years I’d be rich myself.  I just love how liberals loooooove to throw this out there with the complimentary attitude as if they’ve just said something brilliant that you cannot argue back. Let’s take a look at those tax breakdowns and see who’s paid what over the last few years.  (Via National Taxpayers Union) Before we get started, let’s keep in mind that tax revenue data is usually about 1-2 years behind. So this summer the 2006 data was released – this is the most current.  Let’s start from 1999 – 2006.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! Did it show that the Top 1% have increased their contribution percentage of tax revenue since not only 1999 but also 2003. AND did it show that the Bottom 50% of taxpayers have actually decreased their tax share under the Bush tax cuts.   Okay, let’s bring out the chart comparison…

So, errrr, turns out those “tax cuts for the rich” resulted in the “rich” paying for more of the tax share and those on the bottom got their tax share reduced. How do you like them apples??? Still not getting it? Okay one more time with just the important years 2000, 2003, 2006…
