BIG TEST

One of the biggest problems I have about people who speak out against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is that they turn a blind eye to how many of the oppressive, jihadist-based regimes in these countries treat the rights or really lack of rights for women. If there is nothing else, I think the US’s efforts are justified in the fact that we are giving the women in these societies a chance at a life with actual basic human rights. Like being able to leave the house whenever you choose or being treated as if your only purpose in life is a beaten-down concubine. So anytime I hear some democracy-guilted liberal whining about how we should be sympathetic, or that these people are really peaceful, or even that they are just acting this way because of our presence there – I honestly have to gather my strength and keep myself from not LMFAO right in their face.

I dated a guy from Israel once, and although that relationship did not last I do believe I was meant to date him because had it not been for him I would not have had my eyes opened to how many Muslim-extremists in the Middle East actually behave when a CNN camera is not present. I mean he had loads of these truth-revealing documents and videos. Which brings me to today lesson on why jihadists deserve no sympathy, courtesy of Jihadist Joe: How to Properly Beat Your DisobedientWife (via AtlasShrugs). In this case disobedience means leaving the house or giving your husband an opinion he doesn’t agree with. Toooooooooooooolerance!!!!

woman_muslim_rightsI know these regimes were typically based in religion and people say we should let religion be. I get that, but it doesn’t make it right. If that was happening in our country it would make the national news. People outcry over when polygamists marry young girls but then also turn around and say we have no business helping women in other countries.  While we cannot change religious-extremists overnight we should at least support our troops who are doing what they can to install a stable government that is trying to create a society where at least many of these women can have a chance, just one chance to not be oppressed for the rest of their lives. What I don’t get though is when liberal politicians get up and talk about being the party of women’s rights but then turn around and defend creeps like this. Just some food for thought.

OINK! OINK! OINK! – Porkulus Update!

6 Feb 2009 In: Government Spending Policy

pig_cashThe guys at National Review take another fine lookover of the porkulus bill since nobody in Congress or the WH seems to be doing so except a few Blue Dog Dems and Republicans. (via Alarming News) Here’s just a brief list of some of the “necessities” we need to spend billions of taxpayer’s hard earned money on:

  • $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
  • $380 million in the Senate bill for the Women, Infants and Children program
  • $300 million for grants to combat violence against women
  • $2 billion for federal child-care block grants
  • $6 billion for university building projects
  • $15 billion for boosting Pell Grant college scholarships
  • $4 billion for job-training programs, including $1.2 billion for “youths” up to the age of 24
  • $1 billion for community-development block grants
  • $4.2 billion for “neighborhood stabilization activities”
  • $650 million for digital-TV coupons; $90 million to educate “vulnerable populations”’

Also, if you look deep into the appropriations you’ll see that much of this porkulus for infrastructure projects is for much of the Beltway area. Super, so DC’s economy will be flowing with renovation and construction projects, but ummmm what about the rest of the country???  So goes DC, so goes the nation – is that our new motto? And while I’m all for infrastructure projects, as many people know they only make up a small, small portion of this entire bill.  The National Review’s got more:

  • $150 million for the Smithsonian
  • $34 million to renovate the Department of Commerce headquarters
  • $500 million for improvement projects for National Institutes of Health facilities
  • $44 million for repairs to Department of Agriculture headquarters
  • $350 million for Agriculture Department computers
  • $88 million to help move the Public Health Service into a new building
  • $448 million for constructing a new Homeland Security Department headquarters
  • $600 million to convert the federal auto fleet to hybrids
  • $450 million for NASA (carve-out for “climate-research missions”)
  • $600 million for NOAA (carve-out for “climate modeling”)
  • $1 billion for the Census Bureau

I think this quote in the article sums it up best in my feelings on how far this porkulus will benefit our economy – The bottom line is that there is a way to fund government agencies, and that is the federal budget, not an “emergency” stimulus package. As Riedl puts it, “Amount allocated to the Census Bureau? $1 billion. Jobs created? None.”

There’s so much more I didn’t cover in this trillion-dollar boondoggle disaster. Read the article over at National Review to check out the full facts. Happy Govt. Frivolous Spending Day!

Is the Honeymoon Already Over? Daaaaaaaaaaayum!

5 Feb 2009 In: Obama's experience

screwed

On November 5th one of my Facebook friends and drunk-on-koolaid-Obamamanic tried to scold me “Why don’t you give Obama a break? You keep criticizing him like he’s the next Jimmy Carter.” Ummm, that’s because he is the next Jimmy Carter.  It was lovely how he just assumed I hadn’t been researching the candidate and his policies for the entire previous year. I formed my vote by looking at Obama’spolicies and track record in the Senate and Illinois state legislature.  Not sure if my FB friend did the same despite his claims.

So imagine my “surprise” when people are starting to not be thrilled with the way Barry’s administration has been going. Oh?? Are you telling me that historic (yet, uninformed and based more on a self-esteem need to feel like you’re a part of making history to trick your mind into thinking that’s the way to give your life meaning) vote no longer is giving you that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.  hmmmm…

But look at the media now. After 2 years of serving more like a PR firm instead of objective journalists *cough*CNN*cough* they are starting to give Barry’s administration the questionable stink eye at some of the latest developments. You know like pushing out of control spending, supporting failed economic policies, appointing criminals to the cabinet, whining about having to working on a PC, hiring lobbyists despite campaign sermons about changing Washington, possible involvment in selling a Senate seat, and you know not being the most transparent govt. as they said they would be.  Just a few things. Oh but there’s even more.

Dude, and I’m not even doing anything to skew the perception of the behavior of this administration. They’re doing just fine on their own screwing things up in the name of Hope ‘n Change. – Via the Corner from TryingtoGrok.com. I think now I know what shooting fish in a barrel must feel like.

Update: via Hotair.com – And the hits just keep coming. Kudos to Tapper at ABC. I’m loving, LOVING the new press secretary. And they thought Bush was a bumbler at communication.

BIG TEST

Good grief, Smancy Pelotox (D-CA) is really my top choice for Lying Liberal of the Week. So this week the expansion of the SCHIP (State Children’s Health Insurance Program) was passed by fear tactics of “health care for the kids” from Pelotox herself. And the kicker of it all is that the funding for this $4 billion expansion comes from a huge tax hike on tobacco products.

smokertax

And if you think SCHIP is actually helping children getting healthcare, think again. Here’s an article on how well the last consideration for SCHIP ended up with results.

In some states, SCHIP enrollment could fall while Medicaid enrollment increases. If the incoming Obama Administration revokes the Bush Administration’s guidelines to prevent the public program “crowd-out” of existing private health coverage, a handful of wealthier states would be able to expand SCHIP to children in higher income families while children at lower income levels in poorer states would be left uncovered.

No worries though, I also blame all the Republicans who voted for this bill as well. Guess who didn’t vote for the bill? McCain! How do you like them apples??? Michelle Malkin’s got the full story. Along with the bill also comes the elimination of standards put into the first bill to lessen the capabilities of illegal immigrants taking advantage of healthcare paid for by legal citizen taxpayers.

Obama’s praise for the provision loosening of eligibility for legal immigrants and their children (a “first step” toward allowing illegal aliens to partake of the bounty) garnered the most applause from the audience and members of Congress.

Check out the vid at the link of Rep. King who articulates the point very well and calls out Obama on his hypocrisy when during the debates insisted he was the better candidate over McCain because folks making under $250k would see no NEW taxes of any kind. I guess that was just “campaign rhetoric” again.  How DARE voters hold a politician to their campaign promises! Don’t think these new tobacco taxes affect those making less than $250k. Check this out then from HealthCare BS Blog.

The study shows that elasticity of demand for tobacco products depends largely on socioeconomic status. As prices go up, better off smokers tend to quit. However, for smokers further down the ladder, price doesn’t have the same effect.

This is very similar to FDR raising taxes on liquor and tobaccoto help fund his failing New Deal. Helping out the poor by passing huge taxes on the products used mainly by the lower and middle economic classes. Can you feeeeeeeeeel the brilliance in Keynesian economics? All it creates is a cycle effect in taxes and govt. spending that produces nothing but confusion to cloud people’s perception of the big picture.  It’s the old bait and switch – sell the policy as if you’re about helping the needy and lower economic class and that you’re going to make “the rich” pay their “fair” share in taxes. Oh but then forget to mention when it comes time to craft the actual legislation that the funding is coming by taxing goods & services most used by the lower economic class.

And how these politicians are still elected into office AMAZES me!

Obama’s got a history with these darn boondoggles (via Marathon Pundit).  If this is a precedent for Obama’s pattern of govt. spending with our new “economic recovery” plan, currently being pushed in the Senate, I think Joe Biden should help America “giiiiiiiird their loins!”

One consistent theme of Barack Obama’s political philosophy is that there is no problem that government spending can’t solve. It’s a fool’s premise, because it doesn’t take into account bad decisions, incompetence, or corruption.

But this is typical and yetso obvious in the current porkulus – this isn’t a bill about getting capital into the economy, it’s about giving paybacks to contributors and supports from the campaign trail.  Americans were duped into”Chaaaaaaaaaaange!”

Buyer’s Remorse: Obamamaniac Edition

5 Feb 2009 In: Voter's Remorse

obamamaniaGosh I just knew this was going to happen but for it to happen only THREE weeks into the presidency is classic. Honestly my voter’s confidence for McCain/Palin this past election grows and grows more with each passing day. Thanks, Barry!

Anyego, Bob Parks’s over at Black & Right has been finding more and more voters who were drunk on the Hope ‘n Change bandwagon who are know suffering huge koolaid-induced hangovers. Big freakin’ surprise!

J Rotes: “I supported, voted and gave $ to Obama. I was wrong. Obama is a HYPPCRITE for letting Geithner be elected Treasury Secy.. Obama lied to us when he said he will change the culture in Washington. Simple. American peeople need to call him on this balatant abuse of power – all his hope garbage was just that – hope and garbage. What a disappointment. Bigger disappointment is lack of MEDIA OUTRAGE on Geithner !!”

POSTED Feb 3, 2009

POSTED Feb 4, 2009
J Nel: “Change we can believe in. Just when we started to believe…and we thought it could never get worse…it did. Geithner needs to go! At this point I don’t think I could be any more disappointed than I am. Where is the Media Outrage? And the poor people in Kentucky. Where is the Pres? Eating expensive beef and hosting a super bowl party. Our poor country.”

obamamania_2I don’t love that this is happening but I can’t help but exhibit a little “I told you so” attitude.  This is the problem with the average American voter not getting informed about govt. policies and how govt. decisions affect us.  Too often they just want to feel that they’ve got to be a part of something and are bought in by mob mentality created by the liberal-biased MSM, as well as some of their peers I’m sure.  It goes back to high school where people just want to be a part of the in-crowd thinking that in doing so will make their life meaningful and fulfilled. I had a discussion with a friend last month about how I believed a good majority of voters got swept up in Obamamania because they wanted to cater to their self-esteem in making a “historic” vote. Instead of looking at Obama’s policies they played right into the DNC’s manipulation of identity politics. Vote for Obama – you’ll be making history!

Now we’ve got a situation, earlier than expected, where people are starting to realize “oh, I guess the guy I voted for isn’t really about all he said on the TV screen.” No shit, Sherlock! It’s called campaigning. ABC – Always! Be! Closing! Barry was selling you a pipe dream and you bought it hook, line and sinker. Congrats, you are now the owner of voter’s remorse.

But there is a cure – go out and get educated on government, where candidates really stand on issues, and how policy legislation really affects your household/community. Then in the next election you’ll really know what your vote is counting for in terms of the history and future of our nation.

BIG TEST

This week Ashley Judd, “actress” who can’t act her way out of a paper bag and typical ill-informed celebrity activist, released a video with the group EyeonPalin.org to continue perpetuating liberal myths in an attempt to stop short the growing momentum that is Sarah Palin. Here’s the video if you can stomach a few moments of soapbox-induced eye rolls.

I first saw this video on PerezHilton.com, a very popular gossip site. While Perez Hilton is attempting to “inform” his readers it worries me that his 7 million+ readers/day are getting a one-sided view intentionally. But the thing I’ve learned from being a reformed liberal is that far-left propaganda is based on the assumption people will just run with the one-sided shock value and not get the full facts on the entire story. It’s like far-left propagandists expect you to BE STUPID because if you didn’t just listen to their skewed, misguided “facts” then you probably wouldn’t be behind their cause.

To get the facts, check out this article (via HotAir.com). Ed Morrissey has been writing on this for a while and I appreciate his objective presentation on the facts of this topic.

By the way, Palin’s strategy worked.  Biologists in the state’s Fish and Game Department estimate that the caribou herds increased to 6500 this year, thanks to the reduced threat from wolves.  The birth rate went from one calf per 100 cows to 39 calves per 100 cows, which will help herd growth for the next several years. Another season without the aerial hunt might have wiped out the caribou herds altogether.

Most importantly, this “controversial” initiative was enacted in 2003 (yes, prior to Palin’s term) and was done so to protect many other species – Caribou, Moose, etc. Are somehow wolves more important than the other wildlife? If you’re so opposed to this method, what then can you offer as a more cost-effective means to decrease the wolf population – waiting to catch them with our bare hands?  Come on people, be realistic! If Judd wanted to really do a public service she should either get educated on the facts or keep her mouth shut.

Does Lack of FEMA Help Make THIS President Racist?

4 Feb 2009 In: Media Bias

Right now people in Kentucky are enduring the devastating aftermath of an ice storm that has left more than 1.3 million people without heat and power, as well as 42 fatalities. Yet, there has been a poor FEMA response and no public response from the current administration. Does this make our current president racist? No, but it also means President Bush wasn’t racist when the Katrina victims and LA/NO politicians didn’t get their own acts together with the ample amount of prep time they were given.

Via Black & Right,  Bob Parks has been following this developing story and properly calls out the media and Bush’s critics *cough*KayneWest*cough* for their convenient case of tunnel vision when it comes to matters of FEMA and U.S. citizens who are victims of NATURAL disasters.

The very people who hated George W. Bush and his FEMA leadership, are turning their adoring heads away from a tragic situation because they don’t involve their favorite black victims, but “ordinary people” who aren’t as sympathetic to them. This coverage is a sham, the FEMA response is suspect, and our president’s conduct will be remembered by the people of the mid-South (whose votes he won’t need anyway).

News Flash: Smancy Pelotox Is Bad At Math

4 Feb 2009 In: Government Spending Policy

Here’s a gem from the far-left leader dictator, Smancy Pelotox (D-CA). The idea that this woman is Speaker of the House is still mindblowing to me – yes, even two years after the fact. I know it should have sunk in by now. Maybe it would except that every time I get close to acceptance Pelotox has to go and slap me silly back into reality with these types of manipulative smears and blunders.

Yes, she said every month that we don’t have an economic recovery package the U.S. suddenly has 500,000,000 people out of work. Riddle me this, Pelotox, what’s that darn Census Bureau got the U.S. population at again?  Only 300 million? Oh, you made a mistake, Pelotox???  La-di-freakin’-DUH!  But thanks for not only never retracting any of your errors smears, but also serving as a glaring example as to why I don’t trust far-left politicians.

pelotox1Call me crazy but I don’t know one single person who’s lost a job since this recession started.  It’s not to say I haven’t heard of companies cutting jobs or scaling back on their hiring efforts. I realize that this is happening, but the idea that the U.S. unemployment scare tactics are at the drastic levels politicians like Pelotox would have you believe is a farce.  All Obama and Pelotox are doing is their ABCs – Always-Be-Closing! They’ve got to sell this porkulus to the people because now it’s their reputation on the line. When (not if, when) this porkulus blows up in their faces they can’t effectively just blame President Bush like they did everything during the campaign and they can’t blame Republicans in Congress as they stand together opposed taking many Democrats onto their side.

About The Un-Liberaled Woman

The ranting and raving of a woman formally brainwashed under the liberal agenda. Through investigation, commentary and sarcasm about government, this woman is breaking free of the hypocritical liberal party that tries to manipulate women into believing only they can represent women’s rights. Get informed, get free, get Un-Liberaled! This blog does not endorse any particular candidate or party - although if I did, I most likely wouldn’t endorse a liberal candidate. For instance, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) or as I like to call her Smancy Pelotox would not get my vote. Comprende? Good. Hope you enjoy the rants! :)
