I'm at the Naval Academy now and will graduate a Marine Officer in 2 years. There's nothing more that pisses me off than when people bitch about the war in Iraq that it's taking too long/it was for oil/there's no WMD's. Bottom line is, I volunteered to serve because I want to protect those who can't protect themselves. And we took out a dangerous sadist named Saddam. People say we shouldn't be the world's police, I say screw that, we should be doing everything we can. Besides, what right do they have to complain anyway? It's my ass in harm's way and I WANT to go. "We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves" Rom 15:1 On a side note you would definitely find pleasing, the night that Obama got elected, a bunch of people in our dorm started blaring out the soviet national anthem, and calling each other comrade, and talking about how we should start filling out our resumes for a new job.
