Political Win?  WTF – this is how we value the sanctity of life in the US. Hmmm, let’s mull it over but most importantly how can we spin this to our advantage??? And on Easter weekend, of. all. weekends!

But here’s the deal the media so conveniently forgets even though as of Friday they were reporting it. For days the Obama administration was “mulling over” what the motivations of the pirates may be while people were screaming for them to do something. (via Washington Post) Because you know, understanding the murder’s motive is WAY more important than stopping the murder when you have the chance to do so. And somehow after the military does the President’s job by making the hard decision the media forgets Captain Kool-Aid’s strategy of mulling it over and negotiations, proceeding to report it as a political win for the Unicorn Princess. President Obama didn’t come up with the idea of using force, he just signed off on it. If that was his intention that would have been the strategy from the get-go. Instead there was a kool-aid negotiation committee meeting that would delay the captain’s rescue for days. Gee, sure sounds like the bravado of a insightful decision maker when pushed up against a wall by terrorists. (snickers) Why does the media forget such little pieces of fact? Must have been all those malt-chocolate easter eggs from Walgreens inducing short-term memory loss. Who knew!

Senior Obama administration officials are debating how to address a potential terrorist threat to U.S. interests from a Somali extremist group, with some in the military advocating strikes against its training camps. But many officials maintain that uncertainty about the intentions of the al-Shabab organization dictates a more patient, nonmilitary approach.

Lucky for Captain Phillips somebody with common sense spoke up about using the Navy Seals to you know, go in and save an American’s life. And guess what – all it took was three bullets to take down three terrorists. That’s the beauty of having a trained military and snipers to go in on the offensive to disable America’s enemies and OH! keep Americans safe. I know – how crazy of us (snickering). We should all just sit around a conference room debating each other until the terrorists make the decision for us and kill the hostage. But the Code Pink loons will hold a candlelight vigil so that will make aaaaaaaaaall the difference. Kumbayah, my lord! Kuuuuum-ba-yah!

The White House was sure to put out their official statement within hours of Phillips’ rescue – they devote more assertiveness to putting out a darn press release than they do to actually enforcing support to combat terrorists. Michelle Malkin makes a good point in her recap.

Nine words missing. Stated clearly by Navy Vice Admiral William Gortney. But not directly, publicly, and loudly by our commander-in-chief:

“The United States government policy is to not negotiate.”

Welcome to the Invertebrate Administration, folks. We don’t have backbones but we’re all just one big happy family. Now grab your Coke, join hands and sing it with me! People won’t want to harm us because we’re nice now.  Pahleaze, people!

I also love how Mika from Morning Joe, quips the Navy Seals ability to take down the pirates as “pure luck.” No Mika, pure luck *cough*casting couch *cough* is how I describe you being a co-host on a major morning news program.  But for her to give the US military any credit would mean a). rubbing two of her brain cells together and b). probably subjecting her to the wrath of the “bi-partisan, yet all-liberal” roundtable that’s typical of all debates on the MSM news programs, ie that there are no debates just one lemming nodding to the other’s illogical myth.

The Bobblehead should be the new mascot of the DNC! Just nods in agreement to anything you say and keeps quiet.

And somehow the rescued captain himself disagrees with the liberal propaganda (via Breitbart.com)

Members of Capt. Richard Phillips’ crew have hailed their leader for saving them and their ship from being hijacked by pirates, but the skipper insists it’s the U.S. Navy and other rescuers who deserve to be called heroes. “I’m just the byline. The heroes are the Navy, the Seals and those that have brought me home,” the shipping captain said.

God bless our military for consistently and constantly doing the hard and unthankable-from-liberals job of protecting us. Without our brave military I fear we’d have the likes of pansy Keith Olbermann protecting us. Shudders.
