Okay, raise your hand if you had one liberal friend INSIST that Barack Obama was nothing like a typical Chicago politician during the election??? Come on, it’s okay to raise your hand. Don’t be shy. To be honest, I don’t have enough hands to properly measure this question. Most of my liberal friends experienced temporary, kool-aid induced amnesia and forgot where this slick ambition politician came from.

Uh, my hand hurts from typing all those zeros. Yes, last night Congress pulled the classic midnight creep with passing their new spending bill, errr, budget. While you were sleeping, Congress was hard at work…passing the $3.6 trillion budget spending your hard-earned money. A bunch of fiscal restraint amendments were adopted to create an aura of responsibility — with Democrat senators openly confessing they’ll just throw the amendments out during conference. And who knows what other chicanery will occur in the backrooms.

Can’t teach an old dog new tricks, can you? So why was it so hard for people to accept the logical suspicion during the election that an Obama administration would invoke the best practices in Mayor McCheese’s Windy City? Remember this gem from 2003 with Daley forgetting that he’s a civic servant to the people and not the school bully.
