"When a lady is screaming about Obama and how she doesn’t have to worry about paying for her bills like mortgage and gas, that’s a huge red flag with our political process."

why is one person a red flag that speaks to some statistical trend? do you have any data that speaks to this trend? otherwise this is a huge epistemological error

"I don’t think it should be every man for himself – a lot of conservatives feel this way but I’m tired of liberals portraying us as such."

There may be a disconnect between how you feel and who you vote for. Political actors exist, at least party, because they want to effect State policy on behalf of their constituency...in other words no political actors seek "every man for himself"(ie-ruthless competition) its "everyone but the group(s) to which I identify for themselves, and largesse for my group",

"If you don’t pay taxes I don’t think you should then get a tax cut or receive numerous tax credits to the point you’re coming out in the green from the govt."

Everyone pays taxes

"That said people should be pulling their own weight, not bitching on the sidelines while the rest of us carry the burden producing the majority of the work"

there is currently massive unemployment and underemployment. Ppl. every where are starving for work. The idea that there is a large mass of lazy americans who simply refuse to work is not supported by any data.

"This is the greatest country where everyone has a free opportunity to pull themselves out of poverty without the help of the government"

social mobility is lower in the U.S. than in a number of other industrialized nations and has, by many accounts, been decreasing markedly for decades.

"the far left"

there is no far left in this country, or at least it works on the margins.

"I don’t think growing up poor is an excuse for continued govt. assistance. "

rewrite: "I don't think being a bank that's too big to fail is an excuse for continued government assistance"

rewrite: "I don't think being an agribusiness firm is an excuse for continued govt assistance"

rewrite: "I don't think being a military contractor is an excuse for continued govt. assistance"

rewrite: "I don't think being a public utility firm is an excuse for continued govt. assistance"

Darn right. The presupposition with any argument to raise taxes, or against cutting taxes, is that government is currently utilizing its current flow of tax dollars to its maximum efficiency, and needs more taxes b/c the funding isn't enough, and it's being used to its utmost efficiency.

And we all know that just isn't true.
