When Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama, liberals were going nuts. They hated him as Secretary of State under Bush, but aaaaaall of a sudden Powell’s the guy they listen to when it comes to voting for the HBIC now that he’s endorsed a liberal.

Kind of how liberals react with open ears to everything “General” Wesley Clark says on CNN. Except that they refuse to listen to actual generals in the field like General Petraeus. Yeah, liberals, instead let’s listen to General Clark who only served in a NATO PEACE-KEEPING mission. Let’s listen to peace-keeping-only-experience instead of battlefield-and-combat-leading-experience that’s current and relevant. Ridiculous.

But of course it gets better. This week Colin Powell says that the GOP needs to move more to the center. Ooooh, but not the left. They’re fine as is being as far left as possible. Plus Powell throws up this gem. (via HotAir via The National Journal)

“Americans are looking for more government in their life, not less.”

And he says that Americans are willing to pay more taxes for services. W.T.F?

Obviously Powell isn’t getting it like our Unicorn Princess in Chief. Big surprise that he isn’t over his K00l-Aid hangover yet. But on top of that, Powell obviously missed the fact that 2/3 of Americans (yes, TWO-THIRDS aka nearly 200 million people) have been categorized as wanting LESS government spending and LESS taxes.

Riddle me this, Colin “Intellectual Titan” Powell how are Americans for more government programs when that means more spending via the government and in effect more taxes because more revenue is needed to pay for those government programs.

Can Colin Powell be stripped of his Republican membership yet? Leaving principles like less government spending that define conservatism means, GAH! you’re no longer a CONSERVATIVE!

Do these people even understand what is coming out of their mouffffs before they speak???? Ummmmmm…N-O.
