That is the question I’m now asking my unborn children. They probably won’t arrive for another couple years, but doesn’t the early bird catch the worm?
The attempt in requesting my kids start early on the family contribution is that according to Obama instead of us just sucking up the fact that we’ve got to face the harsh reality of letting the housing market reset, we’ve GOT TO put a taxpayer-funded band-aid on the folks who got confused on how to pay their mortgage bills. Taxpayer money that we don’t actually have. These will be taxes that we, our children and most likely our grandchildren will be paying for down the road.

Unless we get this country back on track (ie, change the people in power) we may NEVER be able to pay this back. We are jumping onto a downward spiral of spend spend spend. And there is no end in site once these craptastic spending programs get incorporated. We are still feeling the pain of FDR’s economically uneducated decisions. 12.4% social security tax on every worker to pay for a crappy program that’s return is almost negative? We may soon see 70% tax rates on our middle class. But it will be hidden in things like gas taxes, pollution taxes and capital gains tax increases so that socialists/Marxists like Obama can dodge tax increase bullets.
